Jared Miller’s proposal, “Symbiont community assembly in the lichen Leptogium cyanescens at the Ordway Swisher Biological Station” was selected for funding. Jared is working with graduate student Barry Kaminsky to assess the degree of partner fidelity between the fungal and algal partners in the nitrogen fixing lichen L. cyanescens.
